When to Choose Neurofeedback

Sometimes it can be difficult to know what the best option is for your situation. No two people are alike and it's important to choose a solution that best fits your needs.

The mental health field has come a long way in the past few decades. We need to continue moving forward striving for more evidence based practices as well as techniques like Neurofeedback that allow us to get to "root" of the problem.

One of my favorite and most impactful parts of Neurofeedback is the Brain Map or the QEEG. There are few tests like this one and it allows us to "see" brain function on a more physical level. Our brains are the source of everything we do. If we are afforded a better picture of brain function, then we are able to make more informed decisions about care and choose the best services for each individual.

So how do you know when Neurofeedback (NFB) is right for you? If an individual has participated in traditional counseling, and they weren't able to meet their goals, NFB may be worth considering. If a person is in counseling currently and the individual is "stuck", looking into NFB may be an option. If an individual has a known central nervous issue, NFB may be a good option.
